Does my child need a personal number to attend?
No, we are able to register our students without a Swedish personal number.
Which grade level should we apply for?
Our enrollment policy is to place students into grade levels based on their year of birth, and not based on the last grade level completed. OpenApply will automatically recommend a grade level based on the applicant's age and requested year of enrollment.
What happens once I have applied for a spot at the school?
You will be notified by email with a confirmation that we have received your application, although this does not guarantee placement at the school. We review our admissions at the beginning of March every year, a process that is finalised by the end of April. Late admissions also take place in June and August each year, as well as throughout the year depending on availability. If you have not heard back from ISKH regarding potential enrollment, it is most likely because there is no current availability.
What happens after my child graduates from the MYP Program?
After ninth grade, students begin gymnasiet. The next step in the IB educational path is the Diploma Programme. Diploma Programme schools in the region include International School of the Stockholm Region, Stockholm International School, Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket, Åva Gymnasium, Tälje Gymnasium and Katedralskolan. International or English programmes include Kungsholmens Gymnasium, Stockholms Musikgymnasium and Rudbeck. If a student would like to continue with a Swedish gymnasium, they must have received a passing grade in Swedish as an Additional Language. Alternatively, after graduating from ISKH they can study the Language Introduction Program to build a foundation in Swedish.
Does your school provide Swedish classes?
From PYP 1 to MYP 4 the students have three Swedish lessons a week. The goal is to build a foundation of basic to conversational Swedish so students can make themselves understood in a Swedish-speaking environment. In our MYP 3 and MYP 4 classes we also offer additional Swedish minutes to support students who are interested in pursuing a Swedish gymnasium program.
Are there fees for attending your school?
Yes, there is an annual tuition fee of 12,000 SEK for each student enrolled in the school. The tuition fee is divided into two non-refundable payments which are invoiced biannually.
